Our Firefest BBQ Blaze competitions give local pitmasters the opportunity to show their fire-y prowess!

HOW IT WORKS
We provide each team with the same amount of proteins -- usually enough for ~100 servings. You will have 2 hours to prepare and grill, followed by a 2-hour serving period.

Each attendee will receive and vote on their favorite team with a wooden coin. The team with the most coins at the end of the sampling period wins. In the event of a tie, a coin toss will decide the winner. The Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion each win Jack Daniel's barrelheads and various other prizes. We'll have plenty of other awards and giveaways throughout the day.

Firefest staff members will coordinate event production with the base event team. Firefest will normally arrange shipment of event supplies to the base for temporary storage pending the event.

For every event, the base provides 1-10’x10’ tent for the Firefest hub and Pitmaster Academy; 4-6’ tables; and 20 chairs. In addition, the base provides access to electricity; restrooms; and handwashing.

While not required, the base normally will provide each team with a 10’x10’ tent; a table; and 2 chairs.

Attendees have the best part: they get to enjoy great music, food & drink. They can attend a food demonstration, and sample different wings/burgers and vote for their favorite by depositing a wooden coin into the metal bucket for their favorite team!
